It is less than a month to go until the major food event of the year. Yes that right folks the Traditional and organic Food and Seed Festival 2015 is happening next month on 17th October at the Botanic Gardens. So if you love food and care about your health and environment or just enjoy a fun family day out with good music and a great atmosphere, then come to Harare’s beautiful Botanical Gardens on Saturday 17th October. The festival runs from 9am to 4pm and features farmers produce stalls with a variety of organic and traditional produce from all over Zimbabwe for you to taste and buy. This year’s bonus means that exciting seed varieties will also be on sale.
Come with an aim to relax and enjoy snacks or a hearty lunch at the pop-up restaurants selling traditional food, fusion food and food from all over Africa. There will be kid’s entertainment with music and dance, a treasure hunt and a taste quiz. And a festival wouldn’t be a festival without music: Vera Chisvo, the Kubatana Marimba Ensemble, Zim Jam Signal, Eve Kawadza and Steve Chikotie.
Entry is only $ 1 for adults, free for children under 12.
Free transport from Copacabana, 4th Street or Market Square to the Botanical Gardens will be available all day.
