First prize

In order to tap into the inspirational talents of all you great cooks out there, we have decided to hold a competition for the best contemporary recipe which uses traditional products in an innovative way. We invite you to come up with exciting ways to prepare a traditional food so as to encourage modern Zimbabweans to eat more locally sourced products.

The recipe can be for any type of dish – an appetizer, a main course, or a desert, stating the number of people which the dish is intended for, the ingredients including quantities (metric) and the preparation method. Please also send high quality photographs of the dish. We will select and test the most exciting recipes and the top 3 will win a prize.

Email your submissions to naturallyzimbabwean@gmail.com before 31st May 2016 and you could win one of the fabulous prizes below kindly donated by BioInnovation Zimbabwe (products) and BambuZ (indigenous bamboo baskets).
